The exclusive µGG 12.9 fabric patented by Maglificio Maggia

15/05/2024

With pride, we announce a milestone that represents a new chapter in the history of our knitwear factory: the invention patent for a revolutionary fabric, µGG 12.9.

For almost three centuries, our family has cultivated a passion for wool, working it with skill and transforming it into knitting masterpieces.

The pursuit of excellence has always been our guiding light, driving us to push the boundaries of what's possible and to continuously experiment. µGG 12.9 is the result of this relentless pursuit, a fabric unique in the world that embodies our dedication to innovation and respect for tradition. It is born from a carded yarn made with fine wool, characterized by a micron count of less than 12.90 microns and a length of not less than 54 mm.

These characteristics give it excellent softness and compactness, thanks also to the typical lightness of carded yarns. A perfect combination that makes it a precious and versatile material, ideal for creating high-end garments, not only for the spinning technique never used for the processing of superfine wools, but also for its technical characteristics and the difficulty of finding similar products in the international market.

Obtaining the patent fills us with satisfaction and inspires us to look to the future with even greater enthusiasm.
