On 16^th January students from IED (European Institute of Design) Milan, came to visit Biella with the aim of understanding the textile production chain by visiting some local textile factories.

Professor Simone Ganz, who teaches technology of Materials in the International Fashion Design course at IED, organized the trip in Biella because, as he explained, “It is difficult to describe the textile processes only through theory and videos. You can really understand how a production chain actually works and have an overview of technical aspects and fashion trends only through first-hand experiences, such as touching fabrics or looking how knitting machines function. Here is where everything starts.”

It is always important for Maglificio Maggia to dedicate time to the next textile operators, in order to keep promoting a sector which represents Made in Italy worldwide.
